Computerized Accounting

This program is designed to teach basic computer accounting skills. Students successfully completing this program will receive a certificate of completion and be qualified to obtain entry-level employment in the field of Accounting with some of the following career opportunities:

  • Accounting Clerk
  • Billing Clerk
  • Payroll Clerk

Prerequisite: Office Applications I or equivalent

Length of Course:

96 Clock Hours over 8 weeks.
This course cover the following topics:

  • Bookkeeping Basics
  • Using Excel
  • Quickbooks
    • Setup
    • Lists
    • Accounts Receivable
    • Accounts Payable
    • Reconciliation
    • Credit Card Accounts
    • Payroll
  •  

Sequence and Frequency:

  • Ongoing based on demand (Minimum of 3 students required)
  • Open enrollment
  • Not less than 2 times per year

Class days: Monday through Thursday
Class times: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.; 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. or 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
