Our Community Service Tours are an experiment in the joy of giving -- an experiment that is working. Fully volunteer ran, we've come together to create small miracles and share our inspiration, in celebration of the spirit of service. If you have a special trail in mind and think it would be perfect for a Segway HT tour, then email our Concierge and make your suggestion. We will gladly, do everything we can to research your submission. With a minimum party of 5 we can customize a tour exclusively for you!

Segway Gypsies, Inc., is sponsoring Adopt-a-Trail, a volunteer cleanup effort to remove debris from the trails and waterways of Santa Cruz & Monterey Counties. Too much of the forests naturally beautiful is being littered and polluted by those who enjoy the uniqueness that is California’s National Forests splendor but fail to remember to pick up after themselves. Segway Gypsies, Inc. also invites community groups and professional organizations to help take a positive action on behalf of the environment by adopting a trail and making a commitment to remove litter from the site.

Our Adopt-A-Trail Tours depends on volunteers, staff and community members to help in the cleanup effort. Afterwards everyone will enjoy a deliciously prepared lunch. Volunteers assemble on a designated spot then are directed by job captains to cleanup areas.
Our Because We Care Scavenger Hunts are lots of fun and help others in need. We prepare a list of useful items, for example: food, clothing, etc. The tour group is divided up into two separate teams with a guide for each team. Each team sets out to collect the items on their list in a given amount of time. After the items are collected and brought back to the party each team tallies up their items. The team with the most items collected receives a winning team "Because We Care" Scavenger Hunt Tour tee-shirt, along with a discount on their next Segway tour. Items collect with be packaged and delivered to local Food Banks, Churches, and other Aid Organizations . Teenagers as well as adults of any age enjoy this activity, which is also good for Scouts, Church and Youth Organizations. A win-win situation! You get to have a Segway HT experience AND help others in need!
- "Because We Care" Scavenger Hunt Tours would not be successful without the help of local businesses. Each participating business donates items for the scavenger hunts and receive, not only, the gift of sharing with needy families, they receive recognition in the community, logos of participating businesses on "Because We Care" Scavenger Hunt Tour's marketing merchandise, location identification for visitors, advertisements, and good public relations.
